I deleted your other post, no need for two threads on the same thing.

Good one.
So, are we allowing incognito "for sale" ads on the forum now? I didn't get the memo on that.

Depends on what people wanna pay.
The market value in your case is your asking price in case you wanna sell.
In case you wanna buy the unit it would be interesting to know a price.

even if its new in box its probably made in,..2002 or so? so it already needs work as those components dont stay good forever like your favourite hard liquor.
its probably worth about 2-3k if you can find a buyer, tubes prices you can see in for sale section.

No, don't name your price here. No projector sales allowed

Todays flatscreens for example break normally within 2-3 years and in some cases you don't even get spares after one year you bought the unit.
Even after 12 years of usage a Sony G90, Barco 909, Marquee 9500 is still here and spares are available or the boards are repairable.
A brand new in box CRT projector is a no brainer if the price is right.

why do you compare a flatscreen to a crt? completely different animals.
sure, i would love to own a splittie, maybe 1-2 years ago i would have paid a lot of dough for one, if one came for sale at a reasonable distance from me (no overseas sales or actually no sales without checking in person anymore for me..)
but a flatscreen is for a everyday use at living room, a projector for a ht. and the prices of good digitals ( good enough for 99% of ppl) have come to a point not many consider any crt anymore.
