True when I first got my marquee it was pitiful who had before me or mike got it didn't set it up right and now the green tube has a smaller wear pattern which shows when aa full white screen or image is showing

I have since got it running smoothly and at the right settings but the wear pattern bugs me like crazy I may just change it to 9inch tubes as soon as I can so I can enjoy it without the uneven wear on the green tube

As soon as I can I will upload some screen shots of it running since I have done the work and show just how bad the wear is on screen

Youll be up for thousands to upgrade to 9" tubes. Why not just wear level the 8" tubes?

With close to 3k hours on the tubes and the center of the green tube looked bad(I can upload a pic of the screen with a full white screen)it would be hard to level it out
I totaled it up and its around 1300(I can get them also for 700 something) but considering the work I put into setting it up(I will also post a few screen shots) the 9inch tubes and lc optics would be worth it of corse if I can get a mint (or near mint) greent tube I could hold off doing the upgrade(I redid my screen and the halo effect is hardly noticible)

Its not just tubes. You need yokes and everything else too.

3,000 hours isnt much. It should be easier to wear level a constant worn area that was set too small.

That price I listed from curt was for everything and I have replaced a tube before plus so I know how to do it(samsung projection tv with p16 red tube bad remember)
I will check and see if that include the yokes or not(didn't ask)

If I could get a 8inch green tube it would be great but curt doesn't have any(my red and blue show no wear)

That was to replace it I pulled tubes from a old tv that I had to gut due to not being able to get parts for it

Also the blue tube on the marquee had no glycol and I had to pull it to add glycol in it

The only two sets I haven't pulled a tube on is my Ecp and nec of corse I haven't had the need to

I never replaced a tube in the tvs I had before I got my samsung(something else broke before a tube went)

But I had to replace the tube as a raw tube(the complete assembly is no longer avaible)that wasn't fun due to samsung mounting hardware plus side is the set uses p16 Panasonic tubes which are nice and sharp

Compared to my tv my marquee was cake walk to get the tube out(the tv took almost a day due to having to remove three panels just to get to the tube and its neck board then remove the old tube from the hardware(i also had to remove the mounting hardware from the replacement tube)

Tried looking for a barco 180dvb22 or a P16? Simple neckboard mod and they work!

Got some longer bolts today, returned my screen to it's original position and lowered the projector! Since i had the lenses of i use the opportunity to center the raster and active image area with a ruler (beats the eye through the lenses), the center of the tube = center of the screen.

Played a bit with astig today, getting better!

Now i'm thinking about going for a near 0 degrees setup... seems doable.

My marquee has the 180 Panasonic tubes p16s are getting hard to get ahold of as it is plus if I did the neck lard mod I wouldn't be able to upgrade to larger tubes in the future(I do plan on upgradeing)
I have mine at zero (my marquee) and it is awesome I plan on doing my nec as soon as I get it fixed

Quite certain the mod to use Barco tubes is the same mods as the mod to use Lugs. So it's not impossible to go for larger tubes ( the best tubes would be a straight fit Smile)

Zero degrees is a bit much, that would put the projector in the middle of the room. To clear my projector I would have to sit really close to my screen. (using HD144's so it's already a bit closer than a stock 808)
