Ok what is the specs on them?

I have looked at the lens thread but I get lost in all the info

I am used to projection tvs where they only use one type of lens Smile(that was hd-10)

also is it possible i could swap the lens from my ecp 4101 or would they not fit?

i am in the works of getting some lc optics tubes and may not be using the 8 inch tubes long anyway

I got the same machine (mines an ultra don't know the difference personally, but apparently its a good thing) Smile I'm very new to CRT and don't know much about lens's i came across these when i was looking to go colored lens's with out modding the machine as i adore the color i get from my cine 7 * also runs 145's* i've got a spare set of 145's for my 8110 but cant afford adapters Sad I was thinking of going 9" LC with it too... but discovered there's no point for me... The 8" are dam good and bright... can pull 1080P@72 with minor mods, so ive decided when i finally get it going (bad HVPS) im going to run it into the ground pretty much as is....

it being a ultra means it has the ablity to lock onto 4k hd if it was me i'd keep it and once the 8 inch tubes are worn upgrade to 9inch tubes and make it a 9500LC ultra

ps if you decide to not keep the extra lens let me know(would like a spare set)

i plan on converting mine to a 9500lc(not sure if i will change it to a ultra or not) but i just recently got mine and love it (nice and bright

currently have three sets(two work flawless one needs repair)
electrohome ecp 4101(no acon) with the hd-6 lens(tubes are near mint and have spares)
vidikron vision 3(electrohome marquee 8110+)hd-8 lens(almost 3k hours on the tubes) going to do some upgrades on this beast soon
nec 10pg(gain board issue)hd10L lens(almost 2k hours on the tubes)

That's the same tubes mine has(love the picture as it is nice and sharp) you will enjoy yours I just know it

I hate to say this but mine almost bests my nec in picture quality(nec has LC optics and has no halo'ing)

FYI the 9inch tubes are Panasonic also so upgrading would mean a improvement in picture quality as you would also have LC optics(no halos)

I have spare tubes for my Ecp 4101(almost two sets)
I am going to get a set of 9inch lc optics tubes for my marquee soon as I can(my 8inch tubes has close to 3k hours) as I am not giving up this beast(its a vidikron vision 3 with a wicked black case)I will post some pics soon

180mb22 or the barco 180dvb22's are not the most high resolution tubes, the P16 variant has a smaller spotsize Smile

But grab a set HD144/HD145's + adapters and be amazed about the sharpness and improved color's!

Whether an 8500/9500LC is an Ultra or not has nothing to do with locking onto 4K HD. The Ultra models have some additional geometry functionality.

Keep in mind that if you are converting a Vision Three to 9" tubes you will need to manually bore out the front of the Vision Case to accomodate HD10 lens. It can be done but the end result will not be as refined as the stock case. The Vision one Case is different than the Vision Three in this regard.

Mine has a foam peice around the lens and not plastic and I have seen a vision one case(it looks wild)

Also what are the h and v numbers on 4k anyway(nobody has posted them as far as I know)

I think so as the manual mentions Ecp lens(enhanced color production)so it might have them

The Xg has them for as it is listed

Ps I still have to send you the rest of your money and I haven't been able to reach you via email
