I'll ask tomorrow what I can post about, if anything. I don't think it's classified, but I'm not going to get nailed breaking any NDAs!

Food update:
Whataburger is fantastic. Just order a single, a double is simply too much!
My first Chick Fil A was.. OK, but not stellar. I may go back one day, but I'm not running there. that's for sure.
Brisket is where it's at here in texas!!!

That's the best part of Texas You can find a few in Louisiana now too. But seriously, Whataburger is the only fast food I will still eat.
What I don't get is that when you were in Chicago last time I only ate one of my filets mignons and you ate both. I always get a double Whataburger and eat that whole thing!

Sorry, the internet at this stupid motel has been down more than up over the last few days, it crashed every time I got through 2-3 emails. thought maybe I'd be close enough to stop by, but it's not going to happen, sorry. Will send an email back once I get through a bunch of others.

I would say Chick Fil A is pretty good, but I don't go out of my way to eat it. My best friend would eat that crap every day if there was one in Vegas.
I guess the one thing you are going to have to try is crawfish. If you hook up with Kiev maybe he will know a good place. It has been so long for me that I can't remember any good cajun places. If you go to New Orleans, then you will have to do the tourist walk around the French Quarter.

I know how that feels
Anyway I tested most of the boards in the 9500 and they will need software revisions as they are vierson 1on most my 8110+ has 2 or 3 on most of the boards(and the blue 8inch tube still leaks)
Can't wait to get the 9inch tubes in the 8110+ but I will be busy in the next few days so I won't be able to do it
Huge plus is they are mint tubes not even broke in yet(first 9inch set I had with mint tubes)
Also any updates on the boards for my nec(did you get to test any before the trip?)

Made it to N'Awlins. Eating sh*tty takeout cajun food in the motel room, both the motel and food suck bigtime! Will attempt to find the real McCoy tomorrow at the French Quarter.
Took in the NASA space museum in Houston, that was OK. If anyone else has taken the tour there, would you agree that the lab that you can look into where they do all the testing etc looked very movie-prop-like? It just didn't seem like a state of the art place where they are planning a manned trip to Mars in 2030. The flight sims I've seen are far more complex than what I saw.. or was that just me?
Went to a tiny flight museum called Stinson, after some pilot from long ago. Nice vintage old tiny craft in there. run by a couple of men that looked older than the aircraft in the building.
Saw the Alamo, that was interesting, although I had to read the written material three times before I understood the significance of it all. I HATED history in school!
Off to Georgia and Alabama tomorrow... 6200Km/4000 miles down, 80000 to go.

Damn, you are going to beat him in to submission till he gets that Marquee for you. Well it is to late. I stopped in and picked it up. I brought it down to SoFL and threw it into the ocean. Now, we can see if CRTs will make good artificial reefs.
Like I said, I can't really help you on your food choices. Pat O'briens is a popular tourist spot. Of course, Cafe Du Monde is a must see.

BTW, I've neglected to say that I've met all sorts of nice people, both customers and random strangers. I've met Phil Smith and Spanky as I think I've said, and a couple of other people that I've sold projectors to in the past that may not be forum members.
Best line of the trip so far was some random stranger at the Alamo asking the guide why they built the Alamo right in downtown San Antonio. It was all I could do to not laugh out loud...

Face palm.
Great to meet you at the show, Curt! Wish I could have had more time to hang out. I didn't even make it to the AVS dinner this year! I don't remember if I made it last year, but I think for the last 4 I've made to the AVS party, the dinner, or both... This year, nothing. Too busy, too many meetings... I've officially ruined my hobby by making it my work.
Not sure if I'll be able to make it to Cliffy's, but I'd love to if I can.

You too, Steve! I came back to the booth a couple of times to take your pix, but you weren't there. I keep forgetting to take people pix, I take 1000s of nature pix, and never any of people. Go figure. you missed nothing at the avs party, I bailed after 90 minutes...

What a great trip! Loved New Orleans and the cajun food! In Georgia now, ate at the one and only Waffle House... bahahahahah!
Bouncing around Georgia tomorrow, on my way to Washington DC slowly...
