Its true about the whether on the east coast
Btw curt I am going to need a 9x neck board one of the ones from my parts chassis is bad(really dim picture)
Still haven't got around to testing the hv supply yet(just recently got my working chassis back together from the tube swap)
The 9 inch tubes work great but I have to have the brightness and contrast higher then I did with the 8inch tubes(no clue on that)
Still have a few other boards to test in my parts set that I will get to soon
Curt you ain't real far from me let me know should you decide to be in my area

I'll look up the weather, I know he wasn't kidding. got no flex in my schedule, so I'll be in DC from the 14 to the 16, weather be damned! No time to come to Tn, sorry, I'd really like to though. Turns out my customer's HVPS was fine, he had a bit of HV arcing within the splitter due to a loose HV lead connection.
You know you can swap the neck boards from the 8" to the 9" set, right? Different part number but same performance.

Curt sent That place a message that you were coming or going to call but no response yet. I haven;
't paid yet as they still have the shipping costs added. I guess you could leave the parts there and they can ship them. Unless you feel it be better for you get them to cliffs so we know they get shiped properly, or who knows I might be able to get there then too

Btw I was going to use the 8inch tubes in the 9500 chassis to power it up and see if it throws a pic hence why I need a working neck board to replace the bad one for the 9inch tubes as the 8inch tube neck boards will work with the 9inch tubes but not the other way

They work both ways. you just need to file out the 9" CRT sockets to fit the 8" tubes due to that knockout notch being a tiny bit smaller. use a small file and file away! Electronically they are identical.

Curt,
Did you go to the Stennis museum? What about Cafe Du Monde in NO?
Where are you in ATL? You could go check out the Aquarium and Coke Museum downtown. You could drive around Stone Mountain. Of course, if you go out that way then stay away from the G70 lenses under the bed at my parents house.

No, I drove right by stennis, and didn't have the time. Saw Cafe Du Monde, but ate elsewhere. Crawfish on rice!
I am absolutely going back to explore the bayou and area. Driving for miles on an elevated freeway with water and swamp under me was completely surreal, for someone that comes from being surrounded by mountains.
By the looks of it, i should have gone to Stennis rather than the NASA museum on Houston, but oh well.

Are you a crawfish aficionado now?
It is rather fun traveling on I-10 isn't it. Having been a lot of places in the US, southern La is one of the most unique places of all.

What I need to try is crawfish by themselves, but not many places were serving it. I had it in a gumbo over rice, which was fine, but I want to taste what they taste like by themselves.
What's the deal with that cafe? It was packed right from morning until noon when I left, but I'm not an $8.00 coffee snob, so I passed.. this time!

I couldn't pass up taking a pix of this clown though at 60MPH. Too bad I didn't get a side shot, the rims were worse than the tire size..

The Cafe is just a historic place. The claim to fame is their beignets. If you went by there, then you probably got a feel for it. As for crawfish, the season is around April to June IIRC. There will be plenty of boiled crawfish to choose from at that time.

Ahhh, didn't realize it was seasonal. Still, damn tasty dish that I had. Far better than this crap takeout last night. i couldn't finish it, it was baaad.
What I need now is a woman to take these trips with. One that can appreciate loud music, Howard Stern and me singing in hte car, one that appreciates good food of different styles, and one that will give me very kinky...well.... you know... every night.
BTW, I did actually eat at an infamous Waffle House tonight since I couldn't be bothered to drive anywhere after I crashed at the motel. Super colorful servers there...
