Just got a Marquee 8500 and it was set up for the ceiling. I reversed the verticle yoke connectors. Now it is right side up, just I guess set for a rear projection. How do i set it up for a table? And I need it to be 720p or 1080i. It says sync out of range. Can I set it to auto and let it dial in a frequency? I looked at the manual but is a pain. Maybe somebody can help me get set up quicker.

Section 2, page 9 explains how to change remote jumpers. not to reverse the picture. It says "contact your dealer".

Hello
Locate the horizontal yoke couplers and undo them one at a time, then reconnect with red facing red and blue facing blue.

Only thing, its cutting the right side of the image off. Wireless remote isn't functioning either. I'm looking at the jumpers. All jumpers are in the remote, should two be removed?

Hello
Is the wired remote installed? If it is, push * and see if IR is Protocol A, or B, or Off, and reset to A in the UTIL Menu.
Try four new AA batteries for the wireless remote. Do not remove jumpers but tell us what positions they are in, up or down. Up is closer to the batteries, down is farther. For IR Protocol A you want the jumpers set Down, Down, Down, Up

Yes, i've been setting it up with the wired remote. I checked the UTIL menu and it is A. They are 4 brand new charged rechargeable AA batteries that i've been using in my ECP remote. And the image is SLIGHTLY cropped on the right side. the spotlight icon in the mac os x menu bar is cropped off. not overly annoying though. Not a big deal but odd. I tried using 1280x512 and the whole image is there. 1900x540 works (weird), but wish there was a 1080i option.

Hello
You may have a defective IR remote. Pull the wired remote out, set the jumpers to Down Down Down Up and load the batteries, it should run from the IR. Other possible problems are a blocked or faulty IR sensor (next to the red lens) or a control board issue.
