Mac, I'm adjusting the the dc offset on the Marantz and I realized I don't know what the setting should be set at! Razz

Don't suppose you know what its supposed to be?

If it's a DC offset adjustment, then aim for 0.0 volts at the speaker output. If it works properly, you should be able to see a +/- voltage swing slightly as you adjust the trimpot on the output. DC voltage...

I have the multimeter hooked up to the test points and they are reading 9.0mv on all the channels...

This is idle current Curt. I don't think it shows up on speaker outputs.

Yeah that's what I was asking for mac was the idle current adjustment. The speaker outputs all have dc voltage on them but 5 mv or so shouldn't hurt.

I have to admit, for a cheapie Marantz, it sure sounds a hell of a lot nicer than the Pioneer that physically resembles it Laughing

Curt, Don't you have a 1980 to fix? Razz
