But youve been doing this since you were 8 and youre now 25, its time you learn how to solder, starting with how to spell it. The rest will come easy, watch some youtube videos.

I know I need to learn to do it but I don't want to make my projector my first thing to learn on
Mostly I did was adjust and swap out parts(never had to solder due to easy to get replacement parts)
I replaced the high voltage power supply in my Ecp today so I am tired which causes me to make mistakes so if I ever misspell I am either in a rush or tired
I am glad curt had the part I needed for it
But the board I have in the set is one he sent me(which sucks as I was hoping for it to work fully)at least I get video and grids on the red and blue tubes so I know the board works just needs new caps
I do have the old board that was in the set I may try my hand on it(just would hate to screw it up)
I got some spare boards from curt I am using the gain board I got from him but the one that was in the set is in worser shape(most likely same issue)

Ok I will as soon as I get the replacement parts it needs(one channel has shorted amp chips)and the time to do it
Not sure what I will be doing next week and working three hours non stop without caffeine didn't do me much good but I got the high voltage power supply replaced in my ecp(1 repaired and one to go) so I am going to be enjoying the Ecp this weekend since I couldn't much back of this because of the hv leak
I even got replacement parts for the samsung tv I have since I couldn't repair the ones from the set(the tube was a lose due to broken neck) without proper diagrams
But as soon as I can get ahold of a cap list and the right caps I will set into it after I repair the av recivier(its a Harman/kardon)

Well, a soldering gun kills everything! You'd better use a soldering IRON.
So does your spelling (it just killed my erection)

I'm not sure. I think you can use standard 15.6 kHz video for the 909. It also has composite and y/c inputs, but these are only connected when using the optional decoder. Of course it would be fed to the internal line doubler, but have yet not seen any reason why it wouldn't do the ear-splitting 15.6 kHz. Perhaps I missed something in the service manual?

The range of the Cine 9 and others i mensioned is 30-132kHz and 180kHz for 909 and 912, they dont do 15 without the internal doubler.

Good! At least they won't make you deaf when not finding a source
Got to find that switch on my PJ

I cant hear the 15.7kHz ringing anyway, and the fans on the XG would be making sure of that!

Here is a list of the caps for the 10PG. A few are missing and there are a few extras for another project I was working on but the bulk of what is needed to cap a 10PG is here with the exception of the power supply in the belly of the beast.

i get those two mixed up almost every time but i have a iron(its most likely low on power but i think its 800 watts not sure i will have to check) but it is a compact unit compared to the one in the link(tandy is a radioshack store brand or used to be not sure if they still carry tandy)
my dad has a soldering gun and i am not going to be using it anytime soon (don't want to kill any ICs )
i picked one up after talking to a electronics repair guy about repairing a h/k receiver(needs new amp chips on one channel)still haven't ordered the parts to fix it yet(even though i have the sucker tore apart ready to do the work)
