Main panel box: neutral must be bonded to ground.

Sub panel box: neutral must not be bonded to ground.

Who said anything about a subpanel?

You guys are talking back and forth about the wiring and subpanels and the OP still hasn't come back to even say what the system does in an outlet in a different part of the house. Laughing

I was not even addressing the OPs issue at all. I don't think it's even a ground loop issue. I was merely clarifying a comment that was made. Very Happy

Yes





From what I have read, my guess would be the contractor ran your circuit in flex and used the flex as the ground. If the flex is not bonded to the flex connector properly, that could be your problem. Did you try running an extension cord from another receptacle in another circuit?
