Excellent.
Just make sure to keep your Mini us a well ventilated area. The reason Lumagen doesn't sell Mini+ units is because there isn't much volume inside the case to help keep the FPGA cool.

The XD's FPGA is of a much older design and cannot even come close to running PLUS speeds. Your screen will be covered in noise if you even were to get a picture.
When I was developing the PLUS mods in the field I tried to apply the technique on several XD units and none could tolerate the clock rates.

The board can be swapped by yourself directly (all it takes is a screwdriver), or if you'd rather not do it yourself, it can be sent in and swapped for you.
Either way the old board must be returned.

Hi Kal I asked last year and it was expensive as a new XS 3D+ here in Italy...
