I also have a few questions, hope someone can clarify them up(too lazy to create new topic, sorry)..
I also have an used i1 Pro bought from eb ( probably 3 years old). It works fine , passed the i1Diagnostic w/o problem and I don't see any obvious error either but when I bought it, the base plate has different serial than the Device. I asked some people and they said the base plate and device's serial numbers should match for most t accurate reflective measurements, if they don't I'll may have less accurate reflective measurement. However, for use on display/projector, it shouldn't be a big problem. Is it true?
Also I read Kal' guide and he said you can place Eye One Pro device on any opaque surface instead of its base plate for initialization. Correct?

For reflective it means more for print. the i1 Pro has a tungsten bulb inside that is used to light the contact surface when analyzing print work. If you have the cap for the probe your ok for projector use. If no cover then you should make a sock for it that will totally block out all light for the dark measurement.

Thanks. That should clear thing up for me.
I have the cap, it has different series number but I guess It's ok to use it with my i1 Pro for TV/projector calibration.
