Red tube problems

Have had my Sony G70 for many years and yesterday the red tube started malfunction color bleed and horisentellt flicker.
If I cover over the red tube the picture is ok so it's the red tube that causes trouble attaching pictures if anyone can figure out what it is.
I'm running 1080i via HDMI has a Moome card in the projector.

it's one of the upright boards between the tubes. Send it to Curt for repair

I think that pic is labeled wrong and the one labeled convergence board is the DC board...I could be wrong since I'm a noob.

I have 2 g70s. One works fine the other has this red tube problem. I'm contemplating whether to keep the non working one for parts or get the board fixed. I'm only in both about 200 bucks so if getting the board fixed is more than that, it will help make my decision easier.
