Never really watched the series before even though I am a big Sci Fi fan. Got it on Netflix. I am hooked. Beautiful video and the audio is great too. Good storyline. A few quirky things in the plot but very enjoyable. What else am I missing ?

Are we talking about the original with Loren Green...AKA Ben Cartwright?

A really great story well produced. I was hooked and watched it over a couple of weeks.

BSG reimagined is without doubt my favorite series of all time. I bought the BD box set the day it came out. I think I have watched the series through at least four times, maybe five.

The mini series was absolutely brilliant. And then this is followed with almost every episode of the series being at least good (only two stinkers out of nearly 100). The end of the series was a little weak, but some of that is because they extended the show longer than originally planed because the fan base demanded it.

Also, this is one of the few SciFi that is evenly watched by both genders.

Highly recommended.

Yeah, it was shot as (I think) a ten part web series twelve minutes each. SCIFI is going to air it as a movie soon and there is a BD release scheduled for February. Maybe it will be made into a real TV series later.

The reimagined BSG is THE BEST SCI-FI TV SHOW EVER. I watched it sporadically during the initial run due to time slot, lack of DVR, etc. but watched the entire series on Blu-Ray when it came out. The performances of Edward James Olmos and Mary Mcdonnell are flat out amazing. This is the show that gave the Scyfy channel the credibility it needed and set the bar at an all-time high.

IMO, the most fascinating aspect of the show is how deftly it deals with how/what a society deals with during the aftermath of a post-apocalyptic event. The "Sci-Fi" components of the show are intriguing but the brilliance lays in the exploration of humanities many frailties.

the part that really got to me was the wall (bulkhead) of missing people on the Galactica. Themes of 9-11 run through the series

Have you ever watched Star Trek Enterprise? The season that starts with the Xindi attack has simular parallels too.

I have to disagree. I thought the last season really brought it all together. There were some episodes in the middle seasons that I felt were lacking. Matter of fact, my best friend stopped watching the show during this time. I told him he should definitely finish it off, which he did and agreed about the last season.

I should mention my best friend animated a lot of the cylons during the first two seasons(?). I forget when they decided to move everything to Canada. Freaking Canada taking all of our jobs. Mr. Green
