Oh, and by the way. My China supplier got back to me and the KIA578's are available at a much cheaper price, if it ends up you need any.

The number jumps around wildly at first in the hundreds but then quickly stabilizes at 045.
BTW, good to know your China supplier has the KIA578s. Is there a minimum order?

Sorry for the delay. Been sick yesterday and today.
That number is to low. Disconnect BN94 and do the same test again with your DMM .

Get well soon - lots of flu out there.
BN94 is soldered in, so I disconnected it from the other end.
The readings vary a lot. But the results go from 1000+ to 850 to 630 to 1.

Ok, put that ic91 back in and leave that harness disconnect and see if you now have the +5v at BN94, pins 4 and 5 on that regulator board.
Edit: wait a minute. You should be reading open. You are testing pin connectors 2 and 3 for ic91 and BN94 harness is disconnected at other end, right?

Nope. 0.0V at both 4&5. The other pins how the proper voltage (1&3 = 15.13V; 8= 4.95V).

Hmmm, are you able to get your test probe in to the pins of ic91 and see if you have voltage on pins 1 and 4?

Pin 1 is 15.35V and pin 4 is 0.0V
(FWIW, I've noticed from time to time that the power on/standby gets a little flakey. Sometimes it just turns on as soon as I plug it in, sometimes it takes a few button presses.
In any event, I do hear the relays click in.)

No, I mean the pins "of" ic91, not the connector. Pin 1 should be +8v and pin 4 slightly less.

Are you sure it's not the other way around? Pin 1 should definitely have +8v since you indicated CN96, pin 1 had +8v and it's the same line.
Now test pin 2 on the ic. Might as well test pin 3 also while your at it.
BN94 harness is still disconnected, right?

You're right - I had it upside down. Just consulted the data sheet and pin 1 is the closest to the edge of the board.
The harness for BN94 is still disconnected.
Pin 2 and Pin 3 both read 0.0V

Looks like it's bad. What is the voltage on pin 4 of ic92 which should be right next to there.

Well I was expecting 4.74 being the same as the other ic but ic91 is surely bad. But before ordering any parts I think we should continue doing some testing to see if something else is shorted and caused the regulator to go.
I would go to the video board, CN21 which is where you have that harness already disconnected. Leaving it disconnected and not turned on, set you DMM to resistance and test between pins 5 and 6. What is the reading?

Alright, if it tests open then it should be fine. Did you want to get the regulator from Marantz then or my China supplier? Marantz was 12.80 plus 7.00 shipping and you would probably have it in a couple days.
China supplier price is dependent on how many you order. I was given an estimate of 2.15 each for 20 pieces. Less amounts can be ordered but I would have to recheck the price if you only wanted 2 or 3. Shipping is usually 10.00 for HK post with a 10 to 14 day ship.

Also I would like you to make 1 more test on that video board. Locate C795 (100u/16v) and with DMM on resistance test between the neg side of the cap and pin 5 of CN21.
