Thanks for signing up André and welcome!
I've always had a soft spot for planar speakers (I used to own a pair of Magnepans - different of course). Some day I'd like to put together a little 2-channel setup based around electrostatics or planar magnetic speakers and 'get back to basics'.
Note: I've split your post into a separate new thread moved into the Audio forum.

Welcome to the forum here, as you may know I built electrostatic panels with a distinctively different philosophy. I am very happy to hold any discussion on flat panels and I don't get upset when people don't agree. |
Hi beun, technicaly speaking i don't know anything i am only a long time Acoustat owner 1984 that also happens to have a friend that as been rebuilding Acoustat for a very long time, all i do is LISTEND and what he does is very much to my liking.

Ahh, I really miss my Acoustat Model IIIs with a pair of Dalquist subs beside them. Bachelor days.
I tried to sell them a few times (before internet/Craigslist), but couldn't get any local offers and shipping was a deal-breaker for something that large. I stored them for years and ended up donating them to Goodwill during a house move after marriage.
I hope they found a good home with a young, poor, budding audiophile. Just like I once was...

Well you did a good deed, you could have also taken them apart and sold them for parts, normal panels go for $75.00 to $100.00 each and Spectra panels go for $150.00 to $200.00 each, same for interfaces regular series $100.00 each and Spectra's go for $200.00, at least somebody is happy with your kindness.
