No. Blu-ray cannot handle 48fps 3D.

They will likely remove every other frame for the Blu-ray. It's called 'Skip Printing'. They also did that when they created 35mm prints for theaters that can't do 48fps (the ones that only support standard 24fps).

The Blu-ray 3D video format supports:

1920x1080x23.976-p x 2
1280x720x59.94-p x 2
1280x720x50-p x 2

48p is not listed.

Thanks. I am sure that the next series of equipment that we have to upgrade to will allow 48fps. Maybe when they go to streaming only and we have to store our purchased movies on google plus or hoku. Or maybe a netflix3D.
