That was cool. At first I thought he was doing it like DLP, but I guess he was projecting all three colors at the same time like a CRT.

It has been a long time, Kiev. Do you still have your G70 setup?

Well, not too long after we visited I started school for EMT, moved out of my apartment and put everything in storage. After I landed a job, I moved into an apartment at the same place with the exact same layout. I never had the time or money to set anything up though. :-/ I got another G70 too, one in mint condition with only 300 hours on it. I just found myself unemployed a few days ago so it's unclear when and if I'll ever get my setup together again. Instability has ended many of my setups.
How about you? Are you still in the same line of work? Did you ever get a place to run your setup?

That sucks. I know the feeling.

I am still doing the same thing. I have bought a place and renovating it now. After our mini-meet, I ended up buying a G90 and four 909s. The Barcos are gone (thank goodness), so I still have a nice G70 and a decent G90. In a couple of weeks, I will have to decide which one I am going to use.

That's freakin' cool. 1899... Holy crap. That predates Technicolor by about 15 years. Crazy!

Sorry to hear about your job, Kiev... Keep your chin up!

Thanks for the moral support ecrabb. There may be a light at the end of this tunnel though. There is a facility that has specialized setups for 3D immersion, rendering, corporate meetings and training. I got a lead from a friend who thought I would be a good replacement for him as their technician when he leaves. He showed me around and all I can say is paradise was indeed beyond my wildest imagination! What was really cool though is that my hobby/professional experience directly correlates with the setups I saw. They are high dollar professional setups but they still felt familiar and comfortable. Cross your fingers for me!

Absolute luck. Right time and right place. They are gone now and the superior G90 takes their place.

That sounds like a good opportunity. Is it in Lafayette?
