LucasFilm has been bought by Disney. Sure, they promise episode 7 in 2015, but like the article says, Disney also brought you 95-year long copyright.
But this isn't all that surprising. In the past decade GL has been licensing out the SW brand in ever increasing slime applications. No doubt this was because GL needed the personal income, and selling the unit must certainly have helped him batter the economic times.
