Just to elaborate, where he says 1nf for the cap value that would be 10{-9} farad or 0.000000001% of 1 farad.

Guys

First test is encouraging but the 1n caps are too small in value and too large in size; fitting caps to the crowded section of the board should prove interesting.

You could change the value of the original caps if there isn't enough room to add more.

wouldn`t it be easier to replace the caps that are switched on in long retrace mode and run the projector in long retrace only.

Yes, once I determine the value needed. And a source for the caps, Vishay perhaps.

Hi,

I think that the label "MKP" is the key as it indicates pulse capacitors. "FKP" should be even more reliable. All of these are available from Wima too (see: http://www.wima.de/EN/products_pulse.htm).

Guys

In order to make sense of this pico- nano- stuff, remember that in Michael Faraday's time, a One Farad capacitor was the size of your bathtub..........

Guys!

I expect more parts here this afternoon to test with, and I have booked the use of a Quantum programmable pattern generator for test patterns at 1080i, 720p and 1080p. I want to know that optimizing for 1080p doesn't screw up display of the other resolutions.........
