Err, Prometheus does not come out on DVD or Blu-ray until October 9.

Exactly what source are you using? If it's an illegally downloaded version and not a 100% bit for bit identical rip it could be the source.

1. @ 3min 16 sec a headshot shows a difficult scene for my 9500LC. As I saw it in the movies not long ago, the huge albino was far brighter, with more vivid color white and pale blue. An amazing scene, but my pj is coming up short here and pretty darkish in comparison. So...how does your pj show it off? Smile

2. @3 min 56 sec it shows a little more of that very difficult pale blue color. How does show on yours? I will provide my own screenshots of these scenes later.

Hi,

SOunds like you need some modifications to your 9500LC! Adding some capacitors to the right places might help with this. There is a thread here about Marquee modifications. We are talking about this sort of stuff on page 51 of that thread.

God bless..

Thanks for the link about capacitors, with 47000 chassis hours and 15000 tube hours it is not unexpected.

Anyways, I use an i7 computer with Moome V3 internal.

Also Prometheus is already available since last week (sept 20) on VUDU at 1080p digital exclusive. But that would be another reason why it was struggling since streaming 1080p is hard for a lot of internet providers (Especially around here)

Honestly, I don’t think these tubes are 15000 hours old; they must have been changed at least once. The whole machine is mix of newer and older boards too, I think.

Gotta love how people wont pay for the media for their theater, but they have no problem blowing $500+ on a projector and then even more money on accessories Razz

The bd50 has been out for a week.

Pretty questionable wanting to have a shootout with pirated movies. Not cool IMO.

One more thing. Did they loose a hell of lot of money, the actors, the studios? Not wealthy enough for you? It's a sad thing, that anyone cought filesharing, gets burned for life with there fines. It's silly, and we're all hired of Hollywood from renting, in most cases, really bad movies.

I'm no big fan of the studios (in general), but regardless of whether they're making a ton of money churning out derivative crap, or forcing me to watch 13 trailers on a disc I bought, what about any of that makes you think it's somehow OK to "fileshare", i.e. steal, the movies?

I've downloaded a few things in my time, so I'm not "without sin" myself, but let's stop the rationalization. You're simply stealing the movie and that's that. Or, am I missing something?

If you look more closely, you’ll see that I didn’t admit to anything, in fact you assumed I did something wrong. All I do is arguing about it, but that is it. That’s all I did. In my country that is not a crime to speak my mind, while I know in some in your states there might be incriminating. I think (?) In our view, we see you as double standards with your state laws. In one you can get the death penalty (as I am in favor of) while on others you can get a very short sentence due to overpopulated prisons. What’s that got to do with movies? Well, it doesn’t. They are rich, and most of us are not.

The only thing stopping you being rich is you

What country is "your country"?

Btw, we are just arguing, right? I’m a talkative guy, like I always say. Smile

I wouldnt say we are arguing here, i would call it abit of friendly banter on my part. Think nothing of it really. Dont take life too seriously, no one has ever made it out alive yet.

I am Australian yes, i quite like it here, so i think ill stay a while.
