Ok, maybe not 10%. Probably more like 2 or 3%, it's not noticeable unless the picture is a solid color, and even then, I usually don't see it. Partially because of the other issue with the noise. But it's much easier to see looking in the tubes. In fact, that may have been when I first saw the lines problem; while I was looking at the noise through the lenses to see if I could figure out what was going on.

Jeremy, press the KELVIN button and turn down the low end, its too high if youre seeing the raster lit up. |
Case, I suspected the same thing, but if I adjust the kelvin the color goes way off, I will have to PM you about this, since you have an XG that appears to be operating as it should be. It would be nice to get this issue taken care of once and for all

I've also seen video noise on an XG, mainly when watching or trying to watch 1080i. I've always ran progressive custom scan rates except for a brief time when I got my first HD-DVD player and Moome card, the 1st generation Moome card was not real good. Lots of HDCP handshake issue and really bad black crush. and the noise was very obvious, not the fault of the Moome I'm afraid. In my case it was mostly seen on whites in bright scenes. Thats why I made the move to HTPC rather quickly so I could run a progressive scan rates & run plain old RGBHV out of the HTPC, and will probably never change as long as the XG lasts.

Does anyone else having this issue have a small fan on any of their neck boards?
