No screen shots, but some pics of my BG808sLC project.

You need to remove peaking circuits from port3/port5 inputs to get rid of ringing and chance getter transistors to get more sharpness. I get even further and chanced also driver board transistors and neck board end stages to VPA18 in my BG1200. Here's something about those peaking components.

These days it's probably easier to use newer signal bath from resent models.

Jeremy, name one mod you know of for an NEC you need to do before itll do what any other unmodded ( or even modded if you like ) 8 inch machine will do? They have the best focus, some of the best astigmatism, and without question the best convergence.

My XG doesnt buzz, so thats not a mod thats needed, that is a repair you need to do to your unit.

I did make a topic asking for suggestions on things that could be done to renew the projector, but all I got was responses that if it works leave it alone, or stuff along those lines...

And I feel that the fans on the projector could be modded, for both the same cooling performance and silence, but again, more "don't do that" responses... so I sit with a noisy buzzing NEC XG because "it doesn't need it"

Annnnyway Smile this was supposed to be a barco screenshot thread, so back to that Smile

I will take a poke at that.... fan noise.

I have a 1208 and really enjoy everything about it- except quads and splitters, but... it is off the ceiling and the 135LC is at no risk of being pulled down anytime soon.

Sorry, no pics.

I didnt think they were loud at all. I can never hear them over games, and almost never hear them at all during a movie.

My original plans included a hush box for the PJ but with the 1208 it never was needed, with the XG being back up the box ( and venting ) is back on the to-do list. The picture quality and control more than make up for it though.

I wouldnt mind pulling down the DTV991 and putting up a DTV1200, but i read somewhere they dont take a 15.75kHz signal, which i kinda need for some of my light gun games...
