Hi,
I just got a very old Barco data 600, and i was wondering if i can connect it to my macbook using vga-bnc cable( like this one http://elektronik-lavpris.dk/imageviewer.php?products_id=96052&image_id=75218&viewer_imagesize_big=900 ) ??

It should handle 720p and 1080i signals

Can the macbook output RGBs?

It should accept the signal, but these sets are very old now, they die more often if they driven hard, but at least the spare parts are costs next to nothing
If your macbook has a similar port you can connect to the pj.

It does have a VGA output, but dont i need to somehow convert the signal from RGBHV to RGBs?

They are the same, all signals are present in the VGA port in addition it has some more communication pins, but you don't need that for a projector. Every analog monitor gets it's picture through Red, Green, Blue, Horizontal sync, Vertical sync signals.

Easy. Combine the H and V sync signals via BNC 'T' connector, and plug into the S input:

I know this technique because I used it, but the sync voltage is coded incorrectly and unstable. More you risk, a term abyss of your entry card ... you have to choose.

No, there is no risk of damage. Both sync signals need to be negative. The set will not sync if you have positive sync which is what most computers now put out. You would need an Extron sync inverter box between the computer and the projector:

Is there any way to do it cheaper considering the projector cost $10 and the box is $75 with shipping?

Yes, if you can find a video driver for the computer that forces negative sync. THe computer guys will be more helpful than I am in that department.
