Good question Curt! I'm not sure. Their website is fairly outdated and has older projects that are all sort of the same style.

They've got better more recent projects here on Houzz.com:

http://www.houzz.com/pro/jbottawa/just-basements

(Great website BTW, for anyone looking at renovation / design ideas).

Yes it was that channel that I was interested in. I love the Aluminum channel look with the wood panels. Very nice! Thanks for the reply.

Zow, Kal. That is amazing. Those shots look like a cross between a magazine shoot and some incredible 3-D renders. Smile

October 2013 update: The Just Basements team won first place in the "basement renovation/addition" category at the 2013 Ottawa Housing Design Awards with the work they did on our basement. Congratulations to Norm and his team!

Onkyo M-504... From their "Integra" line before they spun it off as a separate brand.

Beautiful home Kal. I really like the urinal, I don't think I've ever seen one in a residential setting before. Also, an IPA at 9.5%? Shocked That's almost Triple Bock territory? Thumbs Up

And Curt, I actually just got an Onkyo M 504 in yesterday, blown amp channel. Its VU meters are GIGANTIC, bigger than my MC2300 mac amp. Its rated at 165WPC RMS, Dual mono design. Quite the looker too!!

There are more of them than you think and it really polarizes people. Most thing it's either a great idea, or disgusting. It's interesting. See the pictures and read some of the comments at end::

http://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/16700646/list/Should-You-Install-a-Urinal-at-Home-

I commented as well a few times (user "Kal Wallner") as I couldn't stand some of the asinine comments that people were making.

That one's gone now, replaced with an over 10% clone of Pliny the Younger by Russian River Brewing Company. It's a triple IPA that's quadruple dry hopped. A pain to make but IMHO worth it. The commercial version comes out every February and sells out within 2 weeks, only available in extremely limited supply. It's ranked the #2 beer in the world at BeerAdvocate (it used to be #1).

People plan vacations around it and will stand in line for hours to try it:

Not something I'm going to do so I do the next best thing: Make it myself!Wink

OMG, some of those comments are hilarious. I have to read it tonight... It's funny how opinionated people are. Do I have an opinion? Sure. Would I go blab it in a thread and tell other people they're disgusting? Not so much. Love the reference to the device so women can stand up and pee, too. Laughing Thumbs Up

Re: the urinal... I like it, but I don't like it. I would love to have in the garage - that would rock... But, in the house? Not sure. Here's the deal... I don't know if I've ever pissed in a urinal when it didn't leave at least a sprinkling of dots of piss on the floor. If you can't see them it's usually just because the light makes it so. It's literally almost impossible to piss in a urinal without it splashing at least a bit. When I'm wearing sandals, I have to contort my body and aim just right to eliminate the back-spray. A commode isn't much (if any) better, which is why I typically sit on my ass whenever I'm at home. Gives me a chance to check email quick, or slickdeals... It's only 30 seconds, but I find it much more sanitary that way. The design of your urinal looks like it would cut down on that issue significantly though compared to other urinal designs... With getting too personal, do you have an opinion on this, Kal?

Cheers,
SC

That's what got me ticked off a bit and made me post. I see a LOT of things that I don't like personally on that site but would I criticize someone publicly and tell them that their choice of decor is ugly or disgusting? Of course not! Very odd how people behave (hopefully) differently on the 'net as they do in person.

It does. I know exactly what you mean about this spray but the design of the we chose has such wide/high walls that it hasn't been an issue at all. Ours is like this:

I'm the one who cleans this bathroom and I think with any other model of urinal I'd be wiping down the dark console to the left and dark floor underneath.

I think if we had something more like these it would be more problematic:
