love the look of the 2nd system, but would not want the vibrations from the speakers affecting the TT/cartridge.

My LP's are stored in a 6-bin shelf system from Target, I don't think we had Ikea here 15 years ago, but it works and looks nice. Hasn't sagged or warped in the time I've owned it.

Arrhghhhhh, why didn't I think of that.?
where did you get the lettered place holder thingies?

BTW, I ordered a new digital stylus force gauge, $10. from China. I will be checking it against my Shure mechanical scale with the little mirror on one end (which was $35. and by all counts not accurate at all, can be off by up to 3/4 gram)

checked my Sure stylus force mechanical gauge few nights ago against my brand new digital gauge. I had set the sure at 1.75 which is what my Cart calls for and maybe just a scooch more to be on the safe side since the Sure is supposed to be very unreliable.

Well the new digital gauge read 1.85, which is pretty dam close. Oh well, for $10. delivered I can be sure now. Wink

I've got the previous version of the Little Bear without the tube shields if you want to try it. I'm not using an external phono pre-amp since the internal one my Sansui quad gets high marks.

I need to list my little tube amp too. And I've got a stack of duplicate LPs.

Killer package deal (half price?) if anyone has been wanting to try a tube amp.

The tube amp was great for my office, but with the extra power in the Sansui quad-channel, I can crank it up to get "whole house" audio Mr. Green
