So, I watched Amelie. This wasn't the first time seeing it, but it was the first time on BD. This is one of those movies the fans tend to compare to other BD releases sourced from around the world. I doubt I got the one with the best transfer, but I still enjoyed the movie. And unlike Tora^3 the subtitles are completely within the scope field.
What I find interesting when seeing stuff on the big screen (big for at home) is the little details that I missed when seeing the movie on a TV, or on a large display in DVD. Details in material surfaces, clothing, etc. all catch my attention, and the colors within simple put a stamp of approval on it.
Audrey Tautou is an interesting actress, but one I've not seen a lot of movies with. Her character in the movie is simple one that you want to protect, and I might say almost makes me want to reconsider the french in terms of being likeable. I'm still not sure which 'North American version I have, and Amazon has multiple just for NA.
BTW, it wasn't until I went looking yesterday that the director, Jean-Pierre Jeune, also did Alien: Resurrection.
