Hi guys, haven't been on here in yonks.

Quick question, can I get a media player with component output to connect directly to my projector, BD701s.
My pj does 720p nicely. I have a lot of films on usb which all have different resolutions. I usually watch them on my pc.
Is it possible to set the output on these media players to always be say 720p, and downscale or upscale as necessary?

This has probably been answered before, apologies if im duplicating another thread. If someone has tried a media player setup like this it would be great to be re-assured it will work before forking out money on a media player.

Rock on

Netgear NeoTV 550 has component video outputs. I use mine at 1080i, but I believe it'll support up to 1080p output.

Great media box, handles just about anything I throw at it.

Also, the first generation Roku XR has component video output as well. Has Netflix and Amazon support, 100+ 'channels' available, but limited local media playing capability.

Sorry, I should add that the Roku outputs most content at 720p natively, but both that & the Netgear box can be set for individual resolutions from 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i/p.
