Thanks again. Will see if Denon has a solution, but also have to consider the Marantz. The Apple TV is a set top box (see http://www.apple.com/appletv/), connects to iTunes, etc. HDMI output only.
It is all stupid crap.

What is the EDID set to on the MOOME? Can that be changed?
What settings are within the Denon in regards to its internal video processor? Set it to output 1080i or even 720p and see what happens.
See what all the other video output related settings within the Denon say too.
Also try plugging the Denon as it sits right now into a digital TV.

It may be a timing issue . If every thing looks fuzzy I would say It's a timing issue. If you get nothing at all Thats a hand shake issue or a cable issue, some long cables lose power so a amplifier is required. I would say try a different cable or try 720p vs. 1080p or try 1080I . I cant remember but I think I had a problem once with 1080p but the 1080I would work.

I wouldn't have the Denon doing any video processing at all, I would set all the inputs to "pass through". That's how we used the MArantz. If you have the Denon do video scaling then it could be confused by the signal it's getting or who knows what?
Basically you just need an audio and video switcher at that point.

How would it be confused with the signal its getting? My Harman/Kardon has no issues... Im not sure what would cause it to get confused by something connected to its output side.
I wouldnt have it do any processing either, but you cant set all models to simply pass through, the H/K you can only pass through 1080i or 1080p, all others get scaled to whatever you set the processor to. If it can pass through, that would be ideal.
The problem isnt the input, id say the problem is the output, cause nothing goes bad til the MOOME is plugged into the output side.

Gentlemen (and ladies?) ...
I just wanted to post a note that at last all is well in my house. 
I've got my equipment configured as originally intended, and my CRT tech has converged and tuned the projector, with 1080i and 720p settings. I now drive my Runco 991 Ultra via my Denon 3312 IC, with several HDMI inputs (DirecTV HR21, Samsung Blu-Ray DVD, Apple TV 2 and a Roku XR) and one HDMI output that goes into my HDfury3 which converts the signal to RGBHV which runs to the projector. It all works, though sometimes the HDMI handshake takes more than a few seconds as I switch sources on the Denon.
I'm not 100% sure what magic fixed the issues that were happening back in April (see page 2 of this thread). When I finally was back in the house with the time to mess around, I updated the Denon firmware, and replaced one of the HDMI cables. Voila! Most likely the fix was that Denon fixed a bug in the firmware I was using.
I still have the Moome EXT-FULLHD, but it's not in use since the HDFury3 is doing the job. I'm not sure if I want to try the newer, supposedly more capable (?) EXT-FULLHD (and see if 3D might even work), or just be thankful I'm back in the movie watching business. I might try to sell it, or save it for a rainy or otherwise cloudy day.
