I got it home, I need a couple REALLY strong guys to get it down the basement steps. We tried last night it wasnt gonna happen so its sitting in the middle of my living room now. I had no idea how big that thing is,and how heavy. I have a 2 wheel cart but I am not sure of the best way to strap it to it without damaging it.
Also the width is an issue, It seems I have about 1/16 of an inch clearance MAX. That is assuming the stairwell width doesnt flucuate at all.
Oh yeah, The guy gave me a 102 inch Draper 1.3 gain screen with aluminum frame free. He was a really nice guy with a REAL nice HT
It was a 4k sony pj. Beautiful.

watched about 5 minutes of avatar on a 1.0 gain 106 inch screen. I was amazed.

I aint really clear on this but I think the screen he gave me came from the guy he sold the G90 for ( it wasnt his ).
The guy who owned the G90 replaced it with a 30K digital.

Not a die-hard hoarder apparently. A true CRT hoarder would have had that in the basement within 20 minutes of pulling into the driveway. Single handed no less.

shined an l e d light in ,tubes look as posted. Green could be better the red and blue aint bad. Anybody got a cheap green tube ?

Thanks for that info, Not sure how to strap it onto the cart sideways. Seems like the sheer weight of it would crack the housing.
If I strap iy from the bottom and back the stress would be on the rear handles,but then theres that width problem again.

Jeff, Just get two big guys to come over and lug it down there for you. That's what I did. Ten bucks each, took it from my car and carried it up 2 flights of stairs.
The 9500 weigh 196 lbs the G-90 I think is 232 lbs... not positive, but close.
The G-90 is slightly larger then a 9500 and slightly smaller then a Barco 909.
Either way get some guys from the local watering hole, or union hall, or something like that. I got the delivery drivers from a local store to help me.
Worth every penny.
