I need some help trouble shooting my 9PG. I've attached a video to show whats going on. What's happening is the image on the tubes are pulsating back and forth. I've replaced the system board, pulled the point and video decoder boards with no change. No error code is displayed either. Anyone have any ideas??

If you have a spare, swap out the deflection board. If the set's been sitting there a while, I'd suspect bad caps.

Only other one I got is missing a transistor and I'm too broke to hunt down another. Got to sell my 808 parts to pay for it.

Anthony, I have a deflection board here, and it has a new genuine toshiba transistor. (the common one that fails).
Again I cannot guarantee the board will work, but if You want it I would be willing to sell that to you for $25 shipped.
Hope I can be of some assistance

Well, got a Deflection board and system board from Jeremy112. Swapped both out, no change, still get pulsing image on the tubes. SO its not the SYS, Def, V4, or Point board. Guess its time to part out the tubes.

I just watched that video, do you have a signal going into this projector while its doing this??
Before you go parting it out, mark the H OUT pot on the DEF board so you know where it was, and try adjusting it slowly. This may even fix the problem...

I checked the HOT voltage with a video signal and it was 2.5v, readjusted it back to spec (2.0 +-1v). No change.

So no change when you just adjust it either way??
Pull the WAVE board out and see what the capacitors look like down near the bottom.

Okay, pulled out the wave board and I can not see any visual signs of component failure. Just for the hell of it I powered up with the Wave board out. Menus are stable, test patterns were stable, no more oscillation of the display. Looks like maybe a bad Wave board.

Yeah, im supprised it worked without the WAVE board... There is a few 100uF caps at the bottom, and if they are the originals, they are bound to be leaking. The rest on the board will also be very likely to be leaking. They leak and damage the board.
