Guys!

What good is a visit if you can't spring a good prank? Curt bought a G90 from a guy who is away later this week, the G90 is sitting in my garage. Curt is expecting Pristine everything on this G90, and I don't want to disappoint. I was going to take an old lens barrel and fill it with goldfish, but I don't have the time..........

Too bad you don't have a spent G90 laying around. You could swap them. Laughing

In that case, hide the G90 somewhere else and when Curt gets there tell him you forgot where in the garage you put it and he'll have to clean it out to find it. Twisted Evil

Have you seen tim's garage? Hiding a G90 wouldn't be hard to do...

I've got a 12 hour layover in San Fran tomorrow during the day. Client with the g90 isn't in until the evening. I was thinking of touring Alcatraz..anyone wanna join me, or got other ideas? (I've been to the Castro, no need to go back!)

Alcatraz is kind of interesting from a historical point of view, but my favorite place to visit in the Bay Area is OUT of the Bay Area -- cross the Golden Gate, past Mill Valley to Muir Woods. Love that place. If you're a tree-hugging nature lover, it's a must.

Muir Woods is only 17 miles from Pier 33 where he'd catch the Alcatraz ferry. Not a big deal.

Considering how much juice these CRT's consume, no one on this forum is a tree hugger.

No more than your average digital, about the same as a typical plasma. Don't accuse us of not being green. We use 10+ year old sets, while those using digitals are on their 10th projector, the other 9 are choking up landfills somewhere. Smile

Just out of curiosity, how much power does an average CRT pj use?

No point being pessimistic; it probably would't work anyway.

Lets get back on topic here. So Curt's coming and you wish to be a good host. All you'll need is a chair, chips and dip, a case of beer and a stripper/hooker. He'll be sooo happy he will forget why he's there in the first place Thumbs Up

It's considerably more than a digital. Digitals hardy use anything aside from powering the bulb. I think mine is like 270 watts when it's on.
