I bought a BarcoGraphic 6300 second hand. I know very little about projectors. It works but the picture is to green. Ive found the adjustments for blue and red but not for green. I'm assuming that its in the panel adjustments. Here's problem one. I have to reset the password and can't figure out how. Any advice?

What source are you feeding it and what wires are you using to connect it?

You're connecting a component signal to an RGBHV input, You can't do that, the signals are not compatible. Here's more on that:

WHat you need is a transcoder, or a Moome box. Frankly, that 6300 is a really old set, and you don't want to know the costs of the bulbs. II'd actually get a line doubler (I've got them for $25), which will convert the video or Svideo signal to RGBHV. That won't give you HD, but it will give you an acceptable picture out of that beast for a year or two. I don't think it's worth spending money on getting an HDMI signal into that set. MEssage me if you're interested in a line doubler.
Cheers!

Looks like you are running Component (YPbPr) into the RGBHV input using just three cables. Is this correct?

According to the data sheet you can switch the input to component. ( May also be labeled something like HDTV or YPbPr )

Check the menu on the projector for that setting.

Have a read here for the different type of connections: http://www.curtpalme.com/CRTPrimer_17.shtm

EDIT: Curt posted faster than me. That doesn't happen often Laughing

Just a couple of seconds too late there, Analog! Smile

Brian, can you email me a pix of the input panel to curtpalme@shaw.ca? I want to make sure that the doubler will work before I sell it to you. You'll also need a high resolution connection cable between the doubler and projector. I've got new 6' ones for $25, or a good used 25' one for $35.

Shoot me an email and I'll answer back tomorrow.

Cheers!

I installed a 6300 in a government install with some 909's. 909's for RP curved-screen connected to SGI, 6300 for FP roll-down for video.

The thing is a beast. Seriously nice build quality, ala CRT projector. Very "Barco". Lots of metal in the chassis, light engine, and the lens was gorgeous. The thing must have been pushing 100 pounds. Kind of always wanted to snag one for movie nights outside, but they're only XGA and like Curt pointed out, the bulbs are completely insane.
