My projector I recently purchased came with an external video processor, I assume a line doubler or tripler, but I have not been able to find any information on it. Does anyone have one of these? What does it do? What are the specs?

It looks similar to the SC3300, but not as high. It has 3 inputs: video, s-video, and component; one output: rgbhv. Inputs and outputs via bnc connections.

Sorry for the wait. My camera skills are limited. Any idea what it does? Is there any interest in this kind of processor?

I have one of those.

It takes CVBS ( composite ), S-Video or 480i-YCbCr (interlaced component) and scales it to 800x600@60Hz.

Nice picture. It's great for an ES focused projector and great for scaling DVD or regular analog cable, LD, VHS.
I paired mine with a $9 DVD player from the pawn shop and my Sony 1252. For full screen 4:3 DVD I just set the 1252 up 4:3 and for 16:9 I shrunk the raster with the RGB size controls.

Just remember to set the DVD player to output 16:9 enhanced or anamorphic to get the right aspect ratio.

Yes, they look the same. Only difference is the model number: mine says DVP 933. I assume that is since the pj was a DTV-933, aka NEC PG6Xtra.

Ahh good catch, Mines' a Runco 900 so 6PG, not the extra.

It's also fun to hook that up to a CRT monitor and plug an old video game system in.

From what I know, those processors were made for Runco, maybe even by Runco. A lot have failed at this point due to bad caps.
