Thanks Scott. I thought it was a bad Idea. I figure the H/V is like a spark plug wire and grounding it was not good.

I added some other Photos showing the ground straps the "Dags". I am at a complete loss on what to do to stop this "Ring Of Fire" on the H/V leads.

OK reviving this bit. I have replaced all three H/V leads, put in a new power supply, have used three different H/V splitters and still have a sizzle at the splitter coming from the red tubes lead. The green and blue tubes make ticking sounds constantly, barely noticeable but there. When the tube leads are unplugged the splitter does not sizzle, and the ticking appears to be gone.

I am out of ideas. What's left?

Leads, power supply, splitter, that's the whole H/V section right?

The tube is grounded by the Dags as seen above, which are then grounded to the neckboard.

Suggestions?

Umm... I see you use simple coated HV cable, ones with the extra clear tube isolation are performing better, in my opinion.

Not sure if this is really a problem, but when I had a marquee 7500 and a 9000 in my hands, the 9000 lacked this sleeve and the static build up was easily observable on the cable especially when I touched them, and it had very quiet ticking noise coming from all cables, but otherwise the set worked fine (and did not disturbed the picture by any mean), the 7500 had the PVC sleeve and it was very solid.
