Hey guys,

Does anyone have a pair of the mount brackets for a PG10 or GP5000?

I have run my Runco 990 (Black PG10) on a coffee table long enough. It's looong time to get this beast up on the ceiling.

I do have the ceiling plate but the wrong brackets.

Marc

Marc, you should have the brackets. I'm the one you gave my last mount to Doug years ago and as I remember he was getting it for you.
Did I forget the brackets?

Hi Bob... Well, maybe... but my projector uses 6 screws per bracket.... these don't all line up with the brackets I have.
I can make it work, but at near 200 pounds I'd rather be certain.... The brackets appear generic.
Did you actually use those on a PG?

I'll be sitting UNDER it. (We need a sweating smiley)

If I remember correctly, they came with a GP5000. I then obtained a perfect 10PG with mount so I would never need the first mount/GP and so gave it to Doug for your use. Maybe there is a difference in the two chassis'? Can't you just drill some holes in them to make it work?

The bracket is swiss cheese as it is. Drilling even more holes in it is probably not a good idea.

Although you DID just give me an idea..... (Having a House moment)

Do the brackets fit the ceiling plate but not the projector?
Post a picture of the plates and a explanation of what's wrong with them. Are they like PG9 plates?

Could you bolt or weld the brackets to a piece of flat stock that spans the bottom of the projector and drill the flat stock to match the holes in the PJ?

Marc,

I have two ceiling mounts which I don't need. ving it custom made by a metal worker would probably be cheaper and more convenient than shipping to the US. PM me if you're interested.

And please check my thread on modding the 10PG with 6PGplus parts. I do not yet have the best confidence in that project.
