Using a set of calipers with the pack of cigarettes on top of the lens in the picture as a guide, those lenses have a diameter of about 8-1/2"!!! I'll bet they weigh 35 lbs. each.
If you look at the number on one of the lens pics it says 95 which probably means it was made in 1995. Being an analog projector, its just now getting broken in!

If the projector is in running condition please post some pictures of resolution test patterns.
Anyway, this is the ultimate projector for the ultimate Mr. Fixit. I don't think you will be seeing any spare parts for this on ebay

According to the specs I got hold of, 191, massive, its must be the weight of the lenses and the tubes 12 tubes must weigh a huge amount. I am interested in what George says when he looks at these specs.

That would be a travesty, I say blend, just get a new ceiling for the 800 pounds of weight.

Thank you very much, incova!

Hi,
I believe that the Bandwith will be 70 MHz from the data mentioned above. This would match the max. resolution of 1280 x 1024 dots (SXGA) which technically requires a minimum bandwidth of 51.9 MHz.
See attached reference document for bandwidth vs video resolution...

I think its listed in the figures as 70Mhz, it will be interesting to see what kind of resolution you can get from it, especially with those lenses and tubes, I think there may have been some higher BW Panasonic pjs but not really to sure. Maybe you can put those tubes into a Barco 909 or a 9500 I am pretty sure other forum members are thinking the same, wonder what the tubes can resolve or the lenses for that matter?

Me! I don't have the space for such a big monster...
Anyway, findig a 12"-er barco split pack is much easyer, than finding this panasonic, heck, it took two weeks to find out only the specs...
Probably the tubes will last "forever" with normal usage.
(Type "812" or "912" in the search field of the forum, you can find interesting topics)

IIRC the only time I have seen a 12" pj on the used market was a couple of years ago. I believe it was GM who was selling two that they had.

From what I have gathered I dont think this Panasonic was the largest or heaviest they made....................but damned if I can find anything else on these pjs.
