I have seen a few in the US and one reconditioned 812 in Belgium.
The Planetarium in the US' National Natural history or ... Science Museum went from 812s (pushed into grey blacks), to SEOS Zorro (good blacks Digital).
The 912 was lighter than this old Panny, around 150 Kg.
What happened to that old Ikegami that George posted about last year?

I think he put the tubes and lenses into a 9500 and called it a 10000 check the threads its somewhere here, I asked about it as well.

I did not read the whole thread, but as i googled this Panasonic projector on the first page, it seems to have 14" CRTs.
Just copy the text on the page and feed it into google translator.

It's an interesting machine, but I don't think it would be a high performer... except for the sheer tubesize. Looking again on those pictures it is clear it doesn't have the video amps on the neck boards, that not allows usually to reach real high performance which we all dream of, and it's a single ended design too... It is similar to the NEC plain PG construction, or barco 808.
Looking at the coils, it doesn't have dynamic astig coils (only 4 wires coming from the grey coil, that is obviously for the EM focus only)

Just fun to talk about something like that, can't think of seeing one projector like this in reality.
Attracts me like the HDIH... and just to hear about some strange 14" like this makes me wonder
what else was build for industry outthere and none of us here knows about it.
First picture: those speakers look like the Pioneer HPM150. I have the smaller HPM100 here and they are like...how does Curt say...
"driving a 65 Mustang" And that power plug in the floor 
Those east-asians live near the source of CRT projecotrs like NEC, Sony, Panasonic, Mitsubishi...

Youre reading the specs wrong.
Its 12", and the lumen rating hardly means much at all, Barco only rated their 912 at 500 lumens, which is not something i believe youd stand a chance of getting from an 8" machine if you wanted the tubes to last more than a couple hundred hours....

And as Gábor has speculated, i too dont feel as though that machine would reach incredible levels, you will see in the specs there it doesnt appear to be true multisync, but only syncs to 4 different H-scan rates. That may not be the case, but if it is, youre stuck with a top of 1920x1080 at 60Hz.[/b]

But that's it, it's 500 ANSI lumens (aka. full white), while a marquee 9500 is rated at 260 or 240 ANSI lumens, the G90 is 320 ANSI lumen maybe in the "crazy" mode, typical 8" machines are in the 220 ANSI lumen range, forget the peak lumen 
That is an other thing how today's digital projectors specified at ANSI lumens...

Yes but you know as well as i do if rated as we see others are, that 912 would be more like 1800-2000 lumens.

I looked into the specs on said barco and its a 12or 13 inch tube(forget which one) and case is likely right on the output but they had three modes listed for the ANSI lumens(will have to look it up to see what it is)
Still crazy brightness for such a huge set
FYI the dwins also cranked out 1k lumens from the tubes which are 7 inch little beasts
The marquee is 1200-1300(8500-9500 respectively)from the tubes but the ANSI will vary depending on the green c element
The lumens rateing I have listed are the peak of each set and keep in mind that's with mint tubes

The 3 brightness ratings are for the different output modes, it just limits the maximum brightness to save power and to reduce tube wear. The CineMAX has the same 3 settings, i have always had mine on economy, as its easily bright enough on that setting with my 120" 1.3 gain screen.

I knew it limited the brightness just forgot the ANSI rating of each setting for said set
On a set like the 912 I would run the eco mode full time as there be no need for the higher settings also as I have the same size screen as you case(custom built 16:10 aspect)

I know I'm committing topic necrophilia, but with a large amount of money to spend, I'd have Mikado make a custom set of these P29LCR tubes for me, only upgraded with LUG electron guns, and have Elcan replicate the HD210 lenses or scratch design new ones, along with LC housings.
It may be worth noting that I would very definitely be interested in buying a Barco 812 or 912 so if you encounter one for sale, please let me know. I realize I won't be able to be very picky about tube condition.
