I always told people the best TV to buy was the one with the longest warranty, OR buy a Panasonic... I owned 3 TVs in my whole life, 2 of which were Panasonic rear pro GAOO TVs.... Both of which had in LARGE lettering on the front MADE IN JAPAN....

So its quite a good thing to me that i see such a kick arse projector wearing the name Panasonic.... Wink

Is that a 9 tube next to it? Shocked

As Goerge said, it's a G70 (P16) tube.

There are some more pics in the Chinese forum.

Kai,
I did a quick search and didn't see anything in google. I would like that link as well.

Does anyone feel like the opening scene in Star Wars with the ship coming directly over head. This pj dwarfs anything out there. Of course having huge tubes is nice, but the pj is still limited by the electronics.

That it may be, but we dont know anything about them yet either!! At least with tubes that big it should easily have no problem resolving higher resolutions with a perfect 1 for 1 and razor sharp...

I use to have the link bookmarked but can not find it now. I had it linked to the G70 housings in a Marquee thread he started.

It might be linked to some pics George has in my marquee thread.

Send us some internal pics as well and tell us what tubes and lenses they are, numbers on them etc, anything that can help us find out where or what this was used for, I contacted Panasonic and still have no reply, does anyone know a specific division of Panasonic that we should contact?

most likely the broadcast division in Japan, as the PJ probably dates back to the advent of HDTV cameras and recorders in the early to mid 80s

Pro-AV: http://pro-av.panasonic.net/jp/3d/index.html

Do not expect anyone you try to contact to speak English.

Those tubes have quite similar models to the tubes used in NEC XG PJs! if only I could fit 3 P29s in my XG Razz

It appears as tho those tubes have the same pinout and heater voltage as the P19LCP's. I'm curious if there is a sticker in there stating what the high voltage output is.

Right i was wondering if the HV voltage was the same as a 9 inch and if the G2 voltages run the same.
