Has anyone watched the Jurassic Park movies on Blu-Ray? I looked at the reviews on Amazon and a lot of folks are saying the Blu-Ray transfer is pretty bad; almost not worth it.

Any comments?

Thanks.

No comments? Oh well, I'll find out myself; just ordered it! Mr. Green

I'm only interested in the first movie, but they seemed to be disallowing that on BD. It is because they want you to spend +$45 even though most might not like the 2nd and 3rd movies. BTW, did you not trust any of the reviews on Blu-ray.com?

I wish you could only buy the first movie... the second one was so-so and the third was "bleh".

I have not looked at the Blu-Ray.com reviews; I looked at Amazon and AVS reviews.

Just like to hear any comments for this forum.

I'm interested to hear what you think of the quality. I agree, the first was good, the other two were not so good.

I guess we'll have to wait for the first person willing to pay almost $50 for a review on the first movie. Well, no I am not, I read the reviews elsewhere and chose not to buy. I guess others feel the same way.

That's where I am pretty much different; most movies the "reviewers" don't like are the ones I do like. Yea, I am weird. Mr. Green

Oh well, got the movies today, but gotta watch Game 7. So, tomorrow will be movie night.

How can you say this and then ask for reviews? You cannot have it both ways.

Yea, kinda an oxymoron, I'll agree.

Let me clarify, BITCH!!!

I ask for comments here, on this forum, as I have more respect for the folks here than on other sites or than "professional movie reviewers" (that in itself is an oxymoron). I do not know the majority of you here, personally. But I have listened here for a few years. If I didn't want any feedback or comments, I wouldn't have asked!!!!

Why can't I have a little of both? Thumbs Up

Be cool, fool.

So how does "Jurassic Park" on Blu-ray look AND SOUND ?, is it worth the investment??? I'll never forget it, It was one of the first movies we watched when we switched to CRT pj (vs a crt tv) and new subs and to 7.1.....basically a huge upgrade. One of my daughters, I think she was maybe 8yr at the time, thought it would be cool to lay on the floor in front of the front couch to watch the new theater... That first big SNARL, I think when the T-Rex eats the goat...she was off that floor and under my arm before the leg hit the roof of the SUV. I tried so hard not to laugh....but in the end, isn't that the effect we're after.

So, we finally watched the 1st movie Saturday night. It has been at least 8+ years since watching.

We thought it was GREAT!!! Picture quality was not as good as movies made today, but what can you say. Sound 7.1 was cool! But then, I am easily amused. T-Rex was really cool.

The wife said we need to watch the second and third movie as we might just very well be impressed watching it on the big screen and BD version.

Was it worth the cost? Sure; life is short!!! Mr. Green
