My CRT has been doing this lately, when I fire it up (within the first 5 minutes), the test pattern flickers with a relay clicking or arcing sound inside the unit. It seemed to get a little worse. Last night, it didn't happen. I did unplug it for a minute when I moved it to clean under the table. Don't know if it reset something when unplugged? Could this be a board failing? I have some spares from another machine.

Is the video image solid, and it's just the test pattern flickering?

yeah the test pattern just flashes a few times when i fire up the unit initially.. after that it doesn't happen. Actually after i had it unplugged for that short 30 seconds.. it hasn't done is since... Scratch that. it did it again. its not a problem really. just as long it doesn't fail altogether.
