While removing some tubes from a parts pj the blue hv lead ripped from the wire at the connector. Can I just re-solder it back on or do I need a new connector?

You need first remove rubber from tube.

Then remove connector inside rubber and push hv-cable through rubber and solder cable to connector...

You can solder that back on. You didn't use a small screwdriver to break the suction between the rubber boot and the HV splitter, did you? Smile

sadly no but im still learning. i saw the thread for making a splice also. i think i could do that also. i can acquire some wire splices and shrink wrap here at work from my avionics buddies. i am making progress on my pj though. i need to change tubes because the ones i have right now are fried but i am using those to get a feel of what im doing before i put on better tubes. i will post pics up later!

Don't splice at this point. I've done that when I've had to, but there's enough length with the NEC leads to cut back the outside plastic shroud, pull the wire through, solder the metal cap back on, and put it back together.
