hi, my trusted monitor has developed some strange behaviour lately.
high pitched noise and random brightness flicker.
any help is welcome as i am planning to use this monitor till the picture gets really unwatchable.
the picture is still great with 75hz and 1280*960 and i prefer it over any high priced lcd.

How often does the brightness change and does it change with the noise or is the noise always there?

seems to have gone away to be honest.
i opened the case and just removed some dust (accumulated from 15 yrs or so  ) and it is solid again.
will clean it further with a compressor later.
mac, if the problem appears again after cleaning i will let you know for sure.
edit: the noise and the brightness flicker were random so it wasnt like i had the noise and the flicker simultaneously.
