Hey Everyone,

I've been trying to calibrate and older sony Wega and running into an issue that I'm hoping to get advice on. I'm using an i1 display 2 and have the deltaEs at mostly 3 or below.

for reference the values are: 61.4 30.3 3.5 1.0 1.7 5.1 4.4 4.2 1.3 1.9 1.3

That's great for the most part but I'm very perplexed by my gamma readings. Here's are the numbers starting at 10% black and moving at 10% increments to white.
2.29 1.89 1.77 1.75 1.69 1.67 1.74 1.76 1.77

As you can see, virtually none are in the correct range and most are below the target of 2.2.

Since this tv has no gamma adjustment, I'm looking for some advice on how to bring this in line. Any thoughts on how to push the gamma back up would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Doug

What's your signal path? (ie: What's the equipment you're using).

Can you post the gamma curve as a graph? Easier to see.

Kal

Thank's for the replies,

The signal path can be one of a couple choices.

This current test is using a xbox 360, avs hd 709, a Sony Wega klv 523 a10 and an i1 display 2.

This one did better, but barely. Not sure what to do about the gamma since it's pushing middle grays way out.

Cheers,
Doug
