Came home tonight made sure all of the yokes were nice and tight these damn things are drifting all over the damn place. Screw the fan mod, I think I am going to put back the original stock fans. I hope I can figure this sh*t out this weekend I'm tired of f*cking with these things. Not enough time............
Oh and Craig, well, I dont think I'll be seeing him anytime soon. I'm telling you Nash, I went to check out that Sim 3 chipper (C3X1080) that Steve has in Phoenix and damn dude I was impressed. I'm going to shut my mouth now.

I am re-evaluating everything as well.
Not that I don't want to see ya, Cliffy, I am just not sure going to CEDIA will be worth my time, effort, and expense.
I may be done with the industry entirely...only keeping my old systems running enough to really enjoy them, but never, EVER again looking at the new stuff. It all pretty much sucks, especially if it uses HDMI/HDCP. Screw it.
Not sure, but it surely feels like the right thing to do...the critical magazine is necessary, but there doesn't look like there is ANY way for it to make any income. I will never be a simple tool for the PR firms...and some of them know it...so getting review product has been impossible.
I'm not sure my efforts would be appreciated, either.
Plus, my Indiana guy has been lingering on finally setting a date to get his work done...and along with two others...I am simply busted. Broke. Done. If it weren't for my family's support and an amazing woman who loves me...I'd be at the curb, on the street. I've been skimming just above that for three years plus worth of what I've been calling my sabbatical anyways, but I cannot find an end to it.
<sigh>
I'm up too late and whiney. Sorry for the rant. I'll let you know if and when I'll be anywhere near ya...
Sincerely,
John

Well instead of having a meet, you could come down to Cedia and hang out with Darin, Ken, Mark, etc.

Cliffy,
I'm WAITING on Mr. Indiana to respond...I thought it had been a few weeks, but after prompting from my ever-patient (thus far) partner...I looked it up and it had been THREE months. Between him and a few others, I could earn $2k in a week...as it is...I've been sitting on my hands letting this damn panic depression set in...which was the core cause of my difficulties now, and I've been struggling for a while to dig out of this hole...
...only to get more dirt and sh*t on my head!
Cheers anyways, as far as I can tell...I AM still on THIS side of the dirt...

When will you come in? Cedia ends Saturday night. The AVS party is Fri and there will be dinners everyday.

I have a miracle at work here today
Craig came over, saw the problems, and we are on our way. I cannot assure that the problems will be fixed by the meet, but I think we WILL BE HAVING A MEET!

There is a horizontal collapse happening on one of the projectors causing the drift. I'm not sure what is exactly causing it but thankfully it happened while Craig was over so he could see it first hand. It's now in the G90 experts hands.

DRIFTING PROBLEM FIXED!!!!!!! SWEET!
Arli and I are so stupid. We fan modded the G90's to eliminate that stupid little fan in the front that makes SO MUCH NOISE.
Well, when we designed the hushbox, the space in between the joists to the main floor was HEAVILY insulated so much that when we put the projectors back up, the damn fans were sitting right on top of the insulation so NO AIR WAS MOVING.
Thankfully CRAIG came by and noticed.
I didn't even catch it...... DUH. The good thing is I removed all of the insulation around the front of the projectors and they have been STABLE ALL WEEKEND!!!!! SWEET!!!!!
I'M BACK IN BUSINESS!
Oh, and dudes, the picture, words cannot express. Just KILLER. BEST CRT SETUP I HAVE EVER SEEN!
With the new tubes, Mike Parker Modded switcher, the Radiance, proper color filtering, the Seymour Cineweave XD screen, the help from CRAIG, CURT, KEN, MIKE, NASH, and EVERYONE ELSE, I mean DAMN it looks AWESOME.
Now if we could just get WALLACE to chime in if HE IS COMING TO THE MEET!

Big Dog! I have every intention of being there for the event! And if it is even close to your past HT meets, I know it will be a moment to remember.
I am not so sure of about the pig cooking thingy. To be honest, I have not have schit for time to work this new smoker through all it's capabilities. It is intimidating to say the least; heck it costs about $30.00-$50.00 everytime I fire it up. Or, like most things, I over think everything and make things more complicated than need be. Alri, Ken, Craig and you can attest to that.
Between taking a short vacation here, and getting one of our kids moved to Texas, remodeling the kitchen ( this scares the crap outta me), remodeling the downstairs bedroom and just everyday BS, well, you get the idea.
Oh, and we are going to start our BBQ business (very small time) here.
What the heck happened to the "Golden Years" when we get to the mid 50's (or there about). At this point with the crap going on with our political system, I am scared to death about retirement.
So much for my problems; ; it could be worse.
I'll give you a call tomorrow.
wallace
And, BTW, I did not want to say anything before, but I did not think it was the fan mods ...........................................................................

Sweet Don! I'm really looking foward to seeing you again! I do hope you will at least bring the smaller smoker or we can use mine!
