I have a system 3 from 1984 that turns on but there's no sound like you get when the tube kicks on. Just the channel display and a relay click. What do i look for as the gun of the tube doesn't even light up like there's no power getting to it.

TV/Projector: All of them!

I sold a bunch of these, they were TERRIBLY made sets, and failed all the time.

The main power board along the bottom of the set will most likely be bad. I'm pretty sure they are no longer available, but bad solder joints were really common with those.

Too bad you didn't post this earlier romero, After I got my System 3 all cleaned up and working good again I took it to goodwill. I would have sent you the board for the cost of shipping(if it was the same exact one as I had).

Sorry!! Sad

As much as i hated to, i ended up tossing it. It had been in weather for some time. Whoever had it left it outside and was a mess inside. I would have had to tear it down to clean it and didn't feel like messing with it. alot of dirt and rust. most of the stickers had fallen off and i couldn't even get a model number. Had it been in better shape, i would have tried harder. I'll probably find others later on. I've had many older sets. Right now, i have a 89 Magnavox console and a early 60's tv/stereo combo by RCA
