Hello people, i have 2 pairs of the Sega 3D LCD shutter glasses for the Sega Master system, which are corded and go into a little box that goes into the card slot on the machine. The cord has a normal stereo headphone plug on the end.
Ive played a few 3D games on my NEC 9PG, and the effect is pretty good, no flicker, no headaches, im quite happy with it.
Is there a way i can make some sort of device to plug the glasses into and use them for 3D movies?

Wow you got a pair of the sega glasses... that's awesome !!
It would take a lot of money, and probably a vast electrical knowledge to get them to work with a 3d movie.

It is quite simple.
You need to build a controller for the glasses.
About 10€ total.
I am running my system with a pair of glasses that are pretty much identical to the sega3d.
Keep in mind that it takes a bit of tinkering to get working.
I cant really give you a schematic as the controller i made was done with the stuff i had lying around.
I use an avr microcontroller to handle a lot of stuff but it can easily be made without one ( more chips though).
My solution is microcontroller + 2 ttl-chips + powersource + a tap of the vsync.
If you feel comfortable with digital electronics i can give you simple directions for how to tie it all together.
