Setting my Sony 1272 back up and am having a little trouble. Here is my set-up.
Sony Blu-ray player-----component OUT, and-----
IN to----Crescendo RTC2000 Transcoder
VGA Breakout Cable from the RGB OUT on the RTC2000 to
the IFB-12.
IFB-12 settings are as follows:
Dip switch 1 is ON all others are OFF
Jumper 5 is on HD
Jumpers 3 & 4 are on SYNC
Switch 12 is on RGB
Switches 3, 4, & 5 are on 75ohm
Jumper 2 is on B
Jumper 1 is on R
Switch 8 is on 3
IN is selected on the front of the card
I get a very clear picture with these settings. Here is my problem:
It looks like it's missing some color. While all three tubes are on it looks like
it doesn't have enough red. When you disconnect the red wire from the IFB-12
it stays on, BUT, if you disconnect the GREEN, they both go out. Same thing happens if you switch the BLUE and GREEN wires around. The picture stays the same, but if you disconnect the BLUE, ten the RED goes off as well.
There must be some setting on the IFB-12 that needs to be changed.
I also have an IFB-11 and an extra IFB-12
Anyone have any idea what the problem could be??

Not sure if I have your explanation right but I'll give it a shot.
When using component input the signal is what is called "sync on green" which means the green line is carrying the sync signal (go figure, lol). So when you disconnect the green line you will loose everything. That is normal. I'm not sure if your saying you have a picture when the blue line is connected to the green input cause you really shouldn't.
When you say it doesn't look like there is enough red what does your whites look like? Are they white?

Thanks for the reply.
On the IFB-12, (the breakout cable is connected (from left to right) RED, GREEN, BLUE, WHITE, YELLOW) if I:
disconnect the RED------------------------nothing happens
disconnect the GREEN---------------------BLUE & RED stay ON
disconnect the BLUE-----------------------GREEN & RED stay ON
disconnect the BLUE & RED---------------GREEN & RED stay ON
disconnect the GREEN & RED -------------BLUE stays ON
disconnect BLUE & GREEN-----------------everything is OFF
Also: if I put the BLUE into the GREEN slot-----BLUE is ON

I tried different settings for the IFB-12 and found 1 that worked, it is as follows:
Dip switch 1 is ON all others are OFF
Jumper 5 is on GS
Jumpers 3 & 4 are on SYNC
Switch 12 is on MIX
Switches 3, 4, & 5 are on 75ohm
Switches 6 & 7 are OFF
Jumper 2 is on B
Jumper 1 is on HD (+)
Switch 8 is on 2
IN is selected on the front of the card
Thought it might come in handy for someone else!

Guess I did misread. Your running RGBHV into the projector, not component.
How does the internal test patterns look? White?
If you shift the red and blue off grid are all 3 grids strong?
