The 9PG Plain doesnt have lens flapping either, its got the same as the Sony has with the swappable plastic rings. And that is not the issue here. The focus is out cause it is set wrong. The front of the lens barrel needs to be turned to correct the outer edges and corners. The out-of-focus on the RED is pretty even in all 4 corners.
