I need some ideas, I am working on a XG 1351LC that has no blue output, the initial thought was that the neck board was bad but i have swapped the blue and red boards and they are both good, the problem stays with the blue tube. The back of the tube is lit up and when I use the remote and hit the blue mute button ever second tap produces a brief horizontal line that traces in a different vertical position each time.
Any suggestions? my next thought was to try to swap the video leads on the blue and green while I source out a service manual.

edit: it is not displaying any error codes

well that didn't work...
swapped the deflection and G2 red to blue and was able to get an image, swapped back the G2 only and lost it... so, I guess I will run down the g2 path and see what I find.

Do you have blue on internal test patterns???
Are you swapping the r and b signals at the neck boards or at the external RGBHV input???

It is the same on the menu or TP. I am swapping at the harness connections for the G2 and Deflection boards.

(I tried posting earlier and this post didn't come up, anyone else having slow page loads?)

I just wanted to mention how cool it is to have the card cage lifted up- easy access to the neck boards and everything still connected and able to run. I would buy the engineer who thought of that a beer anytime!! ...or sake.

I guess you have not worked on a X600 AmPro. That doesn't get any easier. Laughing Thumbs Up

Sort of like an old chevy then? enough room under the hood that you can stand beside whatever you are working on? Wink

Sure, I will put a muzzle on the cat to protect him Wink I will throw something on the BBQ for him too. Any hound that can tough it out for 2 years in a pound deserves a treat.
