This may seem trivial, but I think it's really worth doing. Both my Marquees are missing what I think was later added to late gen sets from VDC: A simple strap that helps prevent the focus board and horizontal boards from falling out of the projector while working on it on the ceiling. This is one of my most hated deficiencies of the physical design of the Marquee and I wanted to do something about it.
I also think Athanasios' Long Bow versions have these (I think I remember first seeing them in one of the photos he posted when trouble shooting noise problems).
Anyway, very simple mod, costs nothing, super fast and easy, and significantly reduces the threat of falling cards. Next, I'm going to tap the lids for a small fastener so that it's totally impossible to have those cards dislodge while working on the set on the ceiling.

Could have sworn I saw these on Athanasios' sets, assuming it's a recent addition from VDC, but I could be wrong.

So Yes Steve did see them in my pics.

Except yours are red, right? And much straighter and better looking. Mine came from a twisted pair and I didn't bother to straighten them out. I'm sure what I just wrote is ripe for a joke.

Thanks for remembering I did them first.
It is certainly a lot easier to work on the ceiling mounted Marquee.
Cheers

Nice! What's on your HV stuff in this photo? And get those radiation shields back on!

Hey Steve,
The cover over the hv cables is asphalt sleeve, Chris Stephens has credit as this is his original idea for this.
Automotive use it all the time. But I found it would leak HV at each end. O-Zone smell.
Proved to be good, but took up a lot of space and leaked HV. also the cables became not as flexible.
I don't use anymore.
This chassis was my first from Curt, 8111+, was a very good learning projector.
I currently have my 9500LC, custom modified by me
The HV splitter is no longer located as in the pic, I move it somewhere else.
Radiations sheilds are always back on, this was to show what I did to the sleeves.
really does not matter with the shields, as I have got the snip already, so no more Kids for me.
Cheers
Steve
